This charming B&B in Balestrate on the seafront (shortly after Alcamo Marina, towards Palermo) is run by Giuseppe. It offers five spacious rooms, all in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere (air-conditioning, wifi, TV). Above all, they're housed in a charming old building with high ceilings and period floors, and a motley assortment of antique furniture that adds to its charm. The bathrooms, on the other hand, are ultra-modern. Giuseppe is not only a friendly French speaker, but also a wealth of information on the region's must-sees.

The breakfast was really good.
The villa is a gem, that came into years and requires attention to remain gorgeous. The room we've got was clean, and comfortable, amazing high ceilings. Minor repairs are due.. in all Sicily, aren't they?
The location is far (1,8kms) from the beach, but super close to the best restaurants and the main square.
Loud not-clever people on the motorcycles can make the stay too loud in the early morning or in the late evening. I personally was not disturbed by it, but if you are sensitive, you might be. The breakfast will round the corners then :)
Menzione speciale per la colazione, molto buona con prodotti freschi come la ricotta!
Was man noch wissen sollte: Giuseppe spricht wenig Englisch, aber ein verständliches Italienisch. Und zentrumsnah bedeutet auch eine lebendige Umgebung.
