One of the few sites where one can observe examples of the original medieval Islamic architecture, perfectly preserved
This village of barely 1,000 inhabitants is of particular interest from an archaeological point of view, as it is one of the few sites in Sicily where one can observe examples of the original medieval Islamic architecture, which is perfectly preserved here. This is particularly true of the castle of Diana, which dominates the village and the nature reserve of the Ficuzza wood to the south (towards Corleone). The Arabic baths located near the Chiarastella natural park, very close to the village, are another exceptional complex to discover.
