Established in 1785, this botanical garden is one of the most interesting in Europe. Among other things, it houses a beautiful panorama of Mediterranean species. Neoclassical buildings such as the gymnasium, the tepidarium and the calidarium can be seen here. The central building was designed by Léon Dufourny, a French architect. The collections of the botanical garden are enriched with thousands of plants donated by naturalists from all over the world. Joli jardin avec de beaux spécimens. Une belle collection de végétaux. Néanmoins un petit effort sur la médiation et la signalétique serait à faire.

Un très beau jardin botanique méditerranéen, avec de riches collections de plantes, notamment agrumes, palmiers et cactées. C'est ici, que l'on peut découvrir également le plus imposant ficus de Palerme. L'idéal est d'y venir le matin avec son pique-nique pour manger dans le jardin à midi.

Ce jardin possède de très nombreuses espèces d'agrumes, de kapokiers, de palmiers et d'agaves. Le lieu est calme et agréable.

En remontant la Via Lincoln en direction de la gare, les portes grandes ouvertes de l'Orto Botanico (jardin botanique) invite le chaland à s'y attarder. En février, les allées sont tapissées d'oranges trop mures tombées de leur arbre. Le parc est de bonne dimension et richement orné de statues et de fontaines.
