If Sicilian wine is worth a visit for its sweet grape varieties, Palermo also lives for its craft beer. The Ballarak is one of those friendly addresses in the Kalsa district, where you can drink a cold beer while enjoying a platter of cold cuts and/or Italian cheeses. Often crowded on weekend evenings, what makes it so successful is its tap room, the largest in the city with 30 craft beers on tap. It also offers a pleasant outdoor terrace on the edge of the beautiful Plaça Magione.
