Built in 1859, in neoclassical style, round in shape with colonnades and a triumphal arch entrance, it is one of the most beautiful theatres in Palermo. It is now occupied by the Symphony Orchestra of Sicily and hosts some of the most prestigious artists in the world. The building alone is worth the trip, but one can also be tempted by a symphonic or operatic performance to appreciate the exceptional acoustics and the majesty of its decor.
