Situated in a green and relaxing setting, the Papyrus Guesthouse is an ideal stopover for those in transit in Entebbe. Opening in 2014, the Papyrus Guesthouse has fifteen rooms: six in the main building, with a colourful contemporary artwork in the lobby and corridors, and nine in the garden (each with a private terrace and, in the case of the rooms upstairs, a beautiful view of the lake). They are pleasant and well-equipped. Possibility to have lunch and dinner copiously.

The grounds of the hotel are filled with lush gardens one would not expect to find in the middle of a city. The staff were all extremely welcoming. The rooms, from my experience, were the run of the mill tourist hotel in Uganda. What I mean is that the hotel is probably much better than the standard hotel for the area, but many aspects are lacking. For one, the bathroom window would not close all the way, along with subpar beds. Overall, the place was a nice stay that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay for a short night.
