Cheap hostel in a New York building with a beautiful view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.

The prices of this Bed & Breakfast are very affordable. However, it is essential to appreciate the advantages of enjoying taking the ferry, which is the most economical way to reach Manhattan. From the residence, a bus goes to the free ferry, which goes to Manhattan in 25 minutes. Buses and ferries operate 24 hours a day. The Bed & Breakfast, housed in a house dating back to 1890, offers a magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline, the Verrazano Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. The rooms are well decorated and very pleasant.

I have been staying here for work for about 3 yrs. I always have a great experience! The location is great, the view magnificent, the beds are comfy, and parking never an issue. As a single woman I always feel safe. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Moe! Always the best host!

I stayed one quick overnight for business on Staten Island. This B&B was a tremendous value compared to local hotels, and they can’t match the location and view, nor the antique feel. Only holding back a star because I didn’t eat, so I can’t comment on the breakfast part. The host, Mo, was nice and accommodating.

Bad Experience
Just got back from my day out. It's 10pm. My second day here. I couldn't figure where to park because spaces were taken in front. I called front desk to see where I could park and was told to try down the block or the Blvd. which was a block away. I said your kidding. I told him parking should be provided for It's patrons. At this point he told me I can have a refund. I said I'll go find a spot. He insisted I take refund. I said I'll just leave tomorrow and not come back. He had a fit basically, telling me we can do this the easy way or the hardway. When I went to the front desk to give back key and get refund, he was still carrying on. I told him to stop talking and let's get this over with. He starting yelling for me to say that one more time. I told him he was insane. He called me a leech. I was from out of town and booked a second night because first night was fine.
Real mental case. If owner finds out he should be fired and learn that maybe he's in the wrong business.

We would definitely stay here again. Moe was very accommodating.
Met some great folks who were in for the NYC Marathon. They could walk to the start of the race from HH.
Easy parking, great view, easy getting back on the Verrazano Bridge to get into Brooklyn.
Price was extremely reasonable for all the plusses mentioned above.
