This huge body of water that feeds New York becomes an illegal skating rink in winter, when a freezing cold invades the city and freezes everything in its path. Whoever has seen Marathon Man will not be able to forget Dustin Hoffman's solitary jogging scenes around this artificial lake. The Reservoir took the name of the former first lady in 1994, when she died. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis used to jog here when she lived on Fifth Avenue.
