Statue of a girl right in front of Charging Bull in Manhattan, sensitive to feminist symbolism
In 2017, Kristen Visbal, sponsored by a company that made a nice publicity stunt, erected just in front of the Charging Bull, a symbol of finance, a statue of a girl: Fearless Girl. She was initially to remain for only a week, but received an extended authorization from the town hall, sensitive to the feminist symbolism (and to a petition). Considered by some (including Arturo Di Modica, who threatened to remove his bull) as vandalism, the installation was moved in late 2018 in front of the New York Stock Exchange.
