Mosaic laid on the ground in honor of John Lennon, with an inscription "Imagine", in front of the Dakota Building.

The entrance to Strawberry Fields is located on Central Park West, at 72nd Street, opposite the Dakota Building, where John Lennon was murdered. The place was named after one of his famous songs and a mosaic was put on the ground in his honor with the inscription "Imagine". It is almost impossible to photograph it without taking some tourists with you! On weekends, you can always find an onlooker telling the story of John Lennon's life. If you start listening too closely, you'll have to pay at the cashier's desk.

Le mémorial est joli mais vraiment difficile de le prendre en photo car les gens s'agglutinent autour pour se faire photographier.
Le must c'est d'avoir la chance d'y trouver un musicien doué reprenant les belles chansons de Lennon, pour vraiment vous mettre dans une ambiance particulière!
Situé tout près du Dakota building qui malheureusement était en rénovation lors dr notre séjour (et donc entouré d'échafaudages).

Très joli mémorial malheureusement bondé et entouré de gens qui ont flairé le filon touristique et qui prennent les photos de vous devant avec votre appareil pour quelques dollars. Résultat : impossible de voir le monument sans peluches, fleurs et autres bibelots pré-arrangés, du moins en journée.

Un peu difficile à trouver (malgré les panneaux), mais que d'émotion face à cette mosaïque siglée "Imagine" situé à Central Park non loin du Dakota Building. On a eu la chance d'avoir un musicien reprenant à la guitare et au chant justement cette si belle chanson. Tout en douceur, malgré le monde l'instant est au recueillement.
