Magnificent and majestic church, near Columbia University, with a bell considered the largest in the world
Inspired by Chartres Cathedral, this magnificent and majestic church was built in 1930. It was built by the wealthy oil magnate John D. Rockefeller Jr. Located along the Hudson River and near Columbia University, it still resonates with Martin Luther King's sermons against the Vietnam War. The funeral mass for Paul McCartney's wife was celebrated there. Seventy-four bells make the carillon, considered the largest in the world, famous; it can be reached by foot or by elevator.

Immense et envoutante
Près de l'Hudson River trône cette immense et majestueuse église qui nous rappelle celles qu'on a en Europe. Elle constitue un bon lieu de passage lors d'une visite d'Harlem.

Très belle église avec une entrée surprenante (on n'entre pas directement dans l'église, et il y a même à l'entrée une boutique de souvenirs !)
