THE NEW YORKER
Great plumes of contemporary journalism write every week in this great magazine that deals with many subjects ranging from politics to culture. The New Yorker had a real revolution in 1992 with the arrival of its new editor, Tina Brown, an old Vanity fair, who wanted to give more importance to pop-culture and make the title more accessible. For some, she killed the spirit of the newspaper during the six years she was in her head, making her too diverse, for others, she saved her from death. In any case, the New Yorker is still the reference magazine for the American intelligentsia. Weekly is known around the world for its very funny, purpose and often absurd drawings in coverage and inside pages. Each week, the 50 regular magazine cartoonists offer a dozen sketches for a total of 500 contributions. The New Yorker also claims to receive about 1 000 proposals from designers confirmed or amateur every week. In the end, only a dozen of these drawings will be published, the Grail for every illustrator from around the world!
