Jadis is a wine bar with a soft, hushed atmosphere, offering a particularly interesting Happy Hour with wines by the glass and a selection of cocktails for under US$10 (with the exception of the Sprit, which costs US$11). You can even drink kir, a rarity in New York. The Happy Hour menu also includes small nibbles, not very hearty but good. In terms of ambience, it's easy to see that the place, with its cosy candlelit room and leather sofas, is particularly well-suited to romantic rendezvous.
