Push the secret door and enter a padded area that has kept the 's unique atmosphere intact.

One of New York's least guarded speakeasies (the name given to hidden bars during the Prohibition era and today just for the secrecy). Look for the wooden door under the Gold Flower Restaurant sign and you'll find the Apotheke, a padded place reminiscent of old European pharmacies, right down to the glass. All the bartenders wear white coats, like scientists ready to try chemical experiments. The cocktails are inventive and the people young and trendy. To go there is to go back.
