After 150 million dollars spent in renovation work, the Hotel Marquis has been successful and will take you full of mirettes. To access this bar without losing yourself in the hotel, you must first go to the 3rd level and then take the lifts to the 47 th floor. The small journey up to the top is quite impressive because the lifts are exterior and glass, and you're well aware of the speed at which you are going. Sensitive stomachs abstain or close your eyes! When you arrive, a hostess will head you to the bar. On the other side, it's the restaurant and the note will not be the same.
In the evening, the sight is breathtaking and splendid, all the lights of Times Square, its buildings and Manhattan are at your feet. A truly panoramic view because the bar is installed on a platform that rotates gently within 1 hour. The atmosphere in this bar is not quite euphoric, it is rather touristic, calm, sober and chic.
Wearing a tie is not rigorous, but if you don't want to get back, make a little effort. A smart council: arrive a little before 21 p. m. because after this hour, there is a fee of entry (USD 5). The consumption is quite expensive (around US $ 10), but the location and view clearly justify these rates. A good alternative is to come on Sunday (from to, about US $ 70). The continental buffet is impressive, with special mention for the hot chocolate fountain that attracts greedy tourists from all over the world.
