An Upper East Side institution, Argosy is New York's oldest independent bookseller. Founded in 1925, it occupies all six floors of this beautiful townhouse on 59th Street. The bookstore specializes in first and rare editions as well as antique maps. Many famous Americans have shopped there, from Jackie Kennedy and former President Franklin D. Roosevelt to Michael Jackson and Grace Kelly. Come in just to take a look at the elegant antique interior.
