Nostalgic for Spain have made Casa Mono their headquarters! Run by Catalans, this restaurant is one of Gramercy's favourite addresses, prized for its cuisine (refined, typical or more inventive tapas), its local wines and its atmosphere. The Jamon Bar, located next door, is run by the same owners and is also a success. This small wine bar is often crowded, so avoid it on weekends, unless you like crowds or want to meet people.
