Some claim that it is in this Upper East Side institution that the best burgers in the city are served!
JG Melon has been an Upper East Side institution since 1972. Here we don't book, it's democratic and it probably explains the success of Melon, where celebrities and yuppies are more real than life. The (very good) cuisine is American: cheeseburgers, meat pies or steak. Some claim that it is here that the best burgers in the city are served. There are two rooms, but if you're alone, have dinner at the bar, it's the only way to meet people. The terrace in summer is also very pleasant.
