Generous and cheap cal-mex cuisine in a restaurant with a vintage decor and a pleasant terrace in Manhattan.
A nice little restaurant in the 1960 s decor, very kitsch, with pink walls and tables in Formica, always crowded. There are abundant serving portions of cal-mex (California-Mexico) with all sorts of possible toppings, at low prices and for a young audience, in the warm atmosphere of the border of the East Village and Alphabet City. One begins with a piña variety or a daïquiri (as served as the dishes), before lunch or dinner at the counter, on the terrace or on the small tables in Formica.
