Cheap hotel close to New York subway stations.

The 33 rooms of this hotel, broken down on 5 floors, are simple and clear. If all have a kitchenette (fridge and coffee maker), in return, many of them share the bathrooms. Only drawback: the noise in the rooms on the ground floor, overlooking a disco bar. Rather choose the rooms that overlook the courtyard or the garden, they are much quieter. You can see the branches and leaves of trees and can sleep properly. You will be given coupons at the beginning of your stay for breakfast - take-away -, in a pastry restaurant next door (La Petite Abeille): pastries, fruit juice and hot drinks. The building is a trademark (listed), the owner cannot really carry out substantial renovations. It is not possible to build a lift for example. The decor of the rooms is rough and a little bit old, but the hotel is clearly seeking to keep its price at its lowest. However, it is well located in Manhattan and near the subway stations, including 14th Street. Book about a month in advance.

La ubicación es relativa. Queda justo en el medio de la zona de central Park y Time Square Para hacer caminando tranqui son baratas cuandras pero se puede. Tenes cerca el Chelsea Market y el Río. Es ideal para 2 o 3 jóvenes. Precio calidad ok.

Great location, rooms tight but have everything you need however our refundable $150 cash deposit on CC at check in has not been refunded after several weeks and several attempts to contact them for refund on phone, email and via our booking agent. This essentially doubled the cost of the room so buyer beware.

Céntrico, funcional y muy cómodo. Muy recomendable si buscas algo económico.
El WiFi funciona fatal, no tiene ascensor y no hay posibilidad de dejar maletas el último día, pero relación calidad precio buenísima.

Save your money people. It may be a cheap hotel but it’s NOT worth it. The AC must be broken because it was about 90 degrees in my room when we got in. The AC doesn’t work at all and just blows around hot air. This has been the worst stay at a hotel in my life. I booked two nights but I’m not putting myself through another night, leaving early.
There’s only one window that about a foot wide & it’s tucked behind a shelving unit so there’s no air flow either.
I actually hate this hotel & I don’t recommend.
EDIT: they moved our room to the first floor which had big windows & central air. It was definitely more comfortable but they never gave us the code to the room after we called multiple times (also ignored) & all our luggage was basically being held hostage every time we left the room. We would have to go find a maintenance person each time we needed to get in. We ended up leaving early anyways.

A place to sleep, nothing more.

There are two rooms per "unit," which share a bathroom. I believe one room has a window, but ours did not. This seems like a fire safety issue. Make sure to set your alarm on your phone, because there's no alarm clock in the room!

There is a television, a small wardrobe, and a small desk. I wish there was an outlet closer to the bed. The air conditioning unit did not appear to work, but an overhead fan did (luckily, because it was sweltering in the building). In the middle of the night, a rhythmic banging inside the wall woke me up (I am a very deep sleeper).

Great location, just right around the corner from the 18th street station. Safe area in lower Manhattan, felt safe walking around after midnight. The building appears to be two buildings merged into one, which explains the strange structure of the rooms. Don't count on getting in touch with any hotel staff, I could only see one person in the room behind the counter, and there appeared to be another one living upstairs.

Overall, nothing special. The cheapest one we could find, and it was fine for our purposes. We'd probably spend more to get more next time though.
