Sober building of classical architecture considered one of the best examples of Andalusian Renaissance architecture
This sober building of classical architecture was designed in 1500 by Catalina de Ribera, but work did not begin until 1546. Many architects participated in the project, including Martin Gainza, Hernan Ruiz and Asensio Maeda. Until 1972, it was one of the largest hospitals in the world. It was then called Hospital de las Cinco Llagas (Hospital of the Five Wounds). Considered one of the best examples of Andalusian Renaissance architecture, it was completely restored in 2003 and is now the seat of the Andalusian Parliament.
