Great locations, food and hotel in general. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Just are slightly less impressive than the rest of the resort.

Positives:
- The island itself is very beautifully situated and has its own beach.
- The bar is well designed and the drinks were really good.
- Restaurant 1810 is the place to go for dinner. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and the lobster and seafood platters were really great. I would highly recommend going there if you are staying at the resort.
- Unfortunately, we cannot say much more positive about the resort itself, except that it has the potential to be good.

Negatives:
- The staff at reception, the buffet restaurant and the mosaic restaurant are terrible. They range from unfriendly to unwilling to work. The tables in the two main restaurants are very poorly cleaned and the food was bad. The check-in receptionist left us alone during check-in and simply didn't come back. So we had to ask for our room again and the other receptionists didn't seem to care. We weren't given much information about the hotel and procedures and had to keep asking for information about breakfast and dinner.
- The housekeeping staff are very friendly but I doubt they really know how to clean a room. It was sandy and there was a lot of dust on the sides of our beds. Not a bad thing, but noticeable.
- The pool looks good but is also very dirty and thin.

At first we thought that the hotel focused on local guests and did not care much about foreign tourists. But we also made contact with local Mauritians who had the same experience. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel to either local or foreign tourists. The negatives are simply more noticeable than the rare positive situations.
