Set in a large walled garden, 300 meters from the beach, this pretty Creole house lounges by its swimming pool. Marie-Hélène distills her sense of good taste and hospitality into four different themed rooms, each offering great comfort (private bathroom, TV, mini-bar) and unbeatable value for money. On request, you can take a walk off the beaten track (Marie-Hélène recommends or organizes a range of excursions), go golfing or get a massage... Practical: the bus stop is right in front of the house.

Magnifique maison d’hôte avec piscine et jardin fleuri.
Il y a une grande varangue, très agréable, où un délicieux petit-déjeuner est servi.

Marie-Hélène et Philippe sont à nos petits soins, ils nous donnent de très bons conseils pour visiter l’île.

Nous recommandons vivement et y retournerons avec plaisir.

Magnifique et paisible maison avec une superbe piscine. Nous avons était accueilli et servi très chaleureusement par les hôtes qui ont été, tout le long du séjour, à nos petits soins. Super petit déjeuner. Cadre paisible et personnel toujours souriant. Recommande vivement ! Encore merci

We had a better week than we could possibly have hoped for at Maison Papaye. La Gaulette is a fantastic base from which to explore the beautiful Southwest of Mauritius and I honestly don’t think you’ll find a better value option than here. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the host was super friendly and helpful with tips about the local areas. I honestly can’t recommend this place more highly.

We had a fabulous week long stay in maison papaye. The room was lovely and a great sheet of local restaurant and activity recommendations was provided on arrival. They were so kind and friendly to us and even booked some activities for us! Breakfast was also delicious and it was the ideal location to expire the beautiful south of Mauritius from (our favourite part of the island- so peaceful, relaxed and stunning scenery). Would also highly recommend the day trip swimming with dolphins that they organised for us! Would recommend maison papaye to anyone!
