Blue Safari, originally created and still renowned for its unique and atypical underwater excursions, has recently expanded its fleet to offer a wide range of marine excursions and adventures all over the island aboard its catamarans, sailboats, speedboats and deep-sea fishing boats. While some cruises are sold "à la place" (sharing the boat with other holidaymakers), most are offered on an exclusive basis - boat privatization and high-end excursions à la carte.
Submarine excursions. Blue Safari is the only company in the Indian Ocean, and one of the very few in the world, to market this extraordinary, atypical activity and offer the opportunity to make a Jules Verne fantasy come true! Expedition time: just over an hour, not including the 15-minute boat ride to a large trawler, from which the captain and crew help future passengers into the boat: a 10-person submarine with one porthole per participant. Then begins the incredible 40-minute dive out of this world, the sensations of which we won't reveal, to leave everyone the pleasure of discovery. Three sites are usually visited at depths of over 30 meters: a coral mass rich in fish, an authentic wreck as in our explorer's dreams, and a mercy anchor probably dating from the 17th century. It's magical!
Exclusive outings by motorboat, monohull or catamaran. More classically, but with the same concern for quality and service, Blue Safari also offers exclusive, totally à la carte outings (quotes on request) by motorboat in the north (to the islets) and west (to see dolphins or sperm whales) or by monohull for up to 6 people (ideally 2 or 4 on the sailboat). The company also has a superb catamaran that can be privatized for up to 22 people - day, sunset, dinner and even overnight stay(s) on request for a few people (4 fully-equipped cabins, skipper, cook).
Catamaran outings with Croisières Australes by Blue Safari. More popular, but run by one of the island's biggest cruise operators, these day trips take you to the four corners of the island, where Blue Safari has catamarans with 29 to 37 berths, so you can discover the best of the lagoon!
Big-game fishing with Sportfisher by Blue Safari. 4 fully-equipped boats for big-game fishing from Grand Baie, for half or full days, or even 3 or 4 days on the famous Soudan Bank.

BLUE SAFARI - THE SUBSCOOTER
The most original underwater excursion! What a pleasure to drive your own submarine at a depth of 3 meters for 35 minutes, in complete safety and under the supervision of a diving guide. You'll discover the magic of Mauritian flora and fauna through a large, transparent, panoramic dome. You don't need to be a swimmer to enjoy it. Minimum age: 8 years

SUBMARINE DIVING
The Blue Safari submarine experience in Mauritius offers a unique and thrilling underwater adventure for families. Participants dive to a depth of 35 meters in a 10-seater submarine for a 40-minute tour, exploring vibrant coral reefs, a 17th-century ship anchor and the fantastic wreck of Star Hope, surrounded by colorful fish. The full experience lasts around 2 hours, including a welcome briefing, motorboat transfer to the submarine, boarding and post-dive refreshments.
Dives are available daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in summer and until 3:30 p.m. in winter.
Each excursion lasts 2 hours, including approximately 45 minutes underwater.
Blue Safari is open 7 days a week and reservations must be finalized no later than 48 hours before the day of the dive.
MONOHULL/SAILBOAT EXPERIENCE
Blue Safari offers luxury cruises aboard its monohull Bayberry, providing personalized service and unforgettable experiences. With itineraries to suit the climate and guests' preferences, passengers can explore Mauritius's picturesque northern islands, including Coin de Mire and Ile Plate, from the monohull. Available cruises include a full-day adventure (09:15-15:15) with snorkeling, swimming and dining, as well as a sunset cruise (17:00-19:00, winter 16:30-18:30) along the coast. A sailing lesson is also available on request, allowing participants to learn essential sailing skills with experienced instructors.

Sea conditions: In the event of difficult or impassable sea conditions, the captain may, at his discretion and for safety reasons, change direction and take you to Coin de Mire or Casita beach.

Experience thrilling speedboat excursions with Blue Safari, offering exclusive tours departing from Grand Bay. These tours include dolphin watching, mangrove discovery and sunset cruises, all designed for excitement and relaxation on the water.

Northern Islands Discovery: Explore Coin de Mire, Gabriel Island and Flat Island with organized refreshment or takeaway options (09:00 - 15:30).
Sunset cruise: Enjoy a 2-hour cruise along the north coast, admiring the sunset and enjoying aperitifs (17:00 - 19:00).
Half-day snorkeling : Snorkel at Flat Island and Coin de Mire, with options for drinks and BBQ lunch (08:00 - 14:30).
Mangrove Discovery: Sail through mangrove forests to Bernaches Island for sunbathing and snorkeling (09:30 - 16:00).
DolphinEncounter: A 6.5-hour adventure along the west coast, including dolphin watching and beach activities on Ile aux Bénitiers (08:00 - 15:30).

NORTH - SUNSET BY CATAMARAN [2 hours 17h - 19h]
Embark on a magical 2-hour sunset catamaran cruise along the north coast of Mauritius. Experience the beauty of the lagoon as the sun sets, painting the sky in warm hues and creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Depart Grand Baie and sail towards the calm waters, heading towards the horizon to capture the magnificent sunset. As we glide along the coast, enjoy the picturesque scenery and peaceful ambience of the lagoon.
Throughout the trip, enjoy a variety of drinks, including cocktails and refreshing non-alcoholic options. Enjoy delicious snacks and canapés, adding a touch of culinary delight to your sunset experience. Around sunset time, watch in awe as the sun dips below the horizon, illuminating the sky with vibrant colors. Keep an eye out for the rare phenomenon of the green flash, an optical event that occasionally occurs just after sunset. Excursion à faire absolument
Musique à fond durant toute la traversée. C’est à dire 6h30 moins 2 heures au calme sur l’îlot Gabriel.
Franchement, si vous cherchez le calme et la sérénité d’une journée de navigation, passez votre chemin.
Ici, le but c’est d’écouter de la musique douteuse à un volume sonore qui vous garantit une perte d’une partie de votre audition.
Il serait honnête de la part de la société qui assure la traversée d’annoncer clairement les conditions avant de prendre notre argent…
C’était l’enfer.
Le repas et l’îlot Gabriel étaient biens.
