JIJI'S

This excellent restaurant is located behind the De Waag, with a large terrace overlooking Paramaribo harbor and the river. Surinamese cuisine, grilled meats, carpaccio of bang bang fish and salmon, Cajun-style chicken, pasta... The dishes are hearty and the place friendly: in addition to being a pleasant place to eat, musicians play here on Fridays and Saturdays. And although the menu is in Dutch only, the beautifully decorated plates you'll see on the neighboring tables will surely give you the inspiration you need!
