Riverside gîte offering rooms, carbets and various activities.

Situated on the banks of the river, 30 minutes by pirogue from Saint-Georges, the îlet Sophia B&B has a dozen rooms, each accommodating 4 people and a single bed, plus two carbets, each with a capacity of 18. Sanitary facilities (showers, w.c., washbasins) are rudimentary, but in good working order. Many activities are available from the gîte: walks to Brazil or Saut Maripa, swimming, volleyball, soccer, pétanque, satellite TV. Information from Modestine.

J’adore c’est pour les vrais aventuriers
C’est une de mes destinations familiales préférées avec ma famille. C’est l’endroit parfait pour revenir à une vie plus simple. La baignade, la pêche, le terrain de foot, les animaux, la restauration de Modestine (et les petits extras qu’elle peut faire amener) juste un séjour au plus près de la nature! Un ré-gal pour les aventuriers.

We spending the night of Saturday 9/7/13 to the cottage Ilet Sophia.
We had reserved 3 days per hour telephone, and was the only guests of the cottage this night.

Factually, we were disappointed by the cleanliness of the site on our arrival.
We were welcomed by waste at the entrance of carbet, had to evacuate interior of the carbet of the remains of meal, empty beer pirn, pieces of cover... that pulled, and to clean the table in front of the carbet (bottle of mall closed engine oil, vidant ourselves on the bench... ; the next morning, while we are the only guests, again remains of meal here, a soap...). The site is the same: waste under the carbet, large-scale bike of child, old slippers...

The photos PJ will illustrate this purely factual appreciation.

It is the first time I leave a negative comment on a square, after attached my hammock to a large number of times in four years of Guiana - but really, I disappointed: how this place can claim it with a classification " gîte" ???
