EL FARO
One of the first lighthouses on the continent, commissioned in 1894. Its steel structure was built by Gustave Eiffel, and the "lens" is preserved in the hall of the Canal Museum in Panamá City. It's a 15-minute climb along a pretty path (steep and often muddy) that climbs shortly before the entrance to the Sister Moon Hotel (follow the electric cable at the start). The 26-metre-high lighthouse is of little interest in itself, and little effort seems to have been made to maintain it, but the view from the mirador is magnificent and there's a refreshing breeze!
