BETHLEHEM MUNICIPALITY

Bethlehem is a Palestinian town in the West Bank, about 10 km south of Jerusalem. With a population of around 30,000, Bethlehem is the cultural and tourist center of Palestine, being identified by Christian tradition as the birthplace of Jesus. The town is home to numerous churches, including the Church of the Nativity, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city also organizes a number of events, including Christmas celebrations.
