HAMALABIYA
Breads - Cakes - Chocolates
Recommended
This small, specialized stand in the Carmel market offers delicious malabi, a type of Israeli panna cotta also found in other Near Eastern cuisines, such as Lebanon. This cold dessert, not too sweet, is usually flavored with orange blossom water. A vegan option is also available here. In winter, it's the warm version that's prepared: sachlav is a creamy dessert, more liquid than malabi. It is also flavored with orange blossom water. We love the few benches in the shade and the calm, friendly atmosphere.
