As often, the excursions revolve around a few classics, Bird Island, Mar Lodj, but other visits are possible. The Gie Jubdo des piroguiers was set up in 2009 and centralizes the requests of interested tourists. This structure was created to put an end to the hunting of tourists on the village roads and to define a single pricing policy. You should know that renting is done by pirogue. Ask to see the list of excursions and rates and to be grouped with other tourists to share the prices.

We have an excursion on 1 day at the beginning of Mar Lodge where we placed. We saw manatees in the bolongs, crabs and oysters mangrove, we have a picnic on a small island by making roast fresh fish barbecue. It was very pleasant moment but perhaps half-day would be enough unless you by canoe to go to Toubacouta for example.

Indeed, there are villages in the predus islands very welcoming people and a superb fauna, however considering the price of petrol and rarefaction, it is well negotiated the price of the trip, but it is worth it!

The next time we will cross the delta in canoeing to go to toubacouta, must make good stroll!!!!
