Place that houses the ruins of two colonial buildings closely related to the foundation of the port in San Blas.
The Cerro de San Basilio houses the ruins of two colonial buildings closely linked to the foundation of the port: the Fuerte de la Contaduría, a fort built at the end of the 18th century, and the church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, which dates from the same period and whose bells inspired a poem by Henry W. Longfellow entitled The Bells of San Blas. The site offers very beautiful panoramas of the city from the heights. Beware, the place is literally invaded by mosquitoes in all seasons, think about it before you go there!
