At the entrance to the Vizcaíno nature reserve, this small and peaceful palm grove contrasts beautifully with the aridity of the surrounding desert and mountains. It is the starting point to visit the rock paintings of the Sierra de San Francisco since you will need to obtain a permit from the Unidad de Información y Manejo de la Sierra de San Francisco, located near the Mission of San Ignacio de Kadakaaman. From San Ignacio, you can also easily go to the Laguna de San Ignacio, one of the three lagoons where grey whales concentrate in Baja California (between December and April, with a peak in February and March).
