Cavity that preserves rock paintings dating back seven thousand five hundred years, located in the middle of a desert area
The Cueva de San Borjita is a cavity of 4 meters high and 30 wide that preserves rock paintings dating back seven thousand five hundred years. There are human figures in ochre and black, sometimes pierced with arrows, as well as multiple animals (antelopes, coyotes, whales and fish). The cave is located in the middle of a desert area pierced by century-old cacti. The site is difficult to access if you don't know the area and don't drive a 4x4; the best way is to discover it with a guide from INAH.
