This pretty little village is located between two hills, in a valley where the Mulegé River flows into the sea; it is surrounded by huge palm trees, orchards and meadows where bougainvillea of all colors intermingle. During the passage of Hurricane Odile in late 2014, all the buildings along the estuary were ravaged or washed away by a torrent... The area is slowly recovering. In addition to discovering its history, Mulegé is an ideal base to practice beach tourism. To the south, in the Bahía Concepción, are some of the most beautiful beaches of Baja California: you can discover them by going back and forth during the day, but you can also sleep there: for this, you have to like wild camping, because some beaches have no infrastructure, except for a palapa under which you can pitch your tent. If you dream of sleeping surrounded by birds and fish, you have arrived in paradise!
