There are buses to Mexico DF, Puebla, Puerto Escondido and San Cristobal de las Casas, which are cheaper than the first class bus station, but the trips are also much longer, as the buses travel through the country roads and stop in the villages of the Sierra. Most of the buses that serve the villages around Oaxaca City (Mitla, Teotitlan del Valle, San Martin Tilcajete, San Bortolo Coyotepec, etc.) leave from this bus station.
