The excursion through Gri-Gri lagoon lasts around 1h30. The tour begins in the lagoon, amid dense mangrove forest and tropical trees, where numerous birds can be seen, especially in the morning. The gnarled mangrove roots create a magical, almost supernatural backdrop, before the boat glides out to the Caribbean Sea. After a visit to the Swallow Cave, you'll take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Caletón beach. A pleasant outing alternating between physical effort, contemplation and relaxation.

Vérifiez bien l'état de la mer avant d'entreprendre le voyage. J'y suis allée depuis Puerto Plata et en arrivant, aucun bateau au départ. On nous a dit que la mer était trop mauvaise. Ce qui ne semblait pas vraiment être le cas mais nous avons pris notre mal en patience en passant le reste de la journée à la plage avec un bon repas poisson dans une des gargottes qui bordent la plage et qui se valent probablement toutes. Mêmes plats, mêmes prix.
It is a ageing excursion that it would have to rejuvenate. The boats are outdated, the excursion leaves a little on your hunger when you compares the others possibiltés. But the site is magnificent and will interest bird lovers.
