Friendly restaurant offering regional recipes in Saint-Flour.

La Mangoune de Saint-Flour is the first restaurant of the franchise of the same name. It is here that the concept of an Auvergne brasserie was born, with the aim of offering local specialities in a convivial way in a setting reminiscent of the interiors of yesteryear. You will be able to taste all the regional recipes such as potée, stuffed cabbage, farinettes and bouriols, aligot and truffade. But the house doesn't stop there and revisits certain dishes such as Cantalian lasagne or Auvergne burgers.

Le cadre est très sympa... mais pour un restaurant cela ne fait pas tout... ce qui manque c'est le reste... le pêrsonnel n'est pas tres disposnible, les plats proposés ne sont pas élaborés avec des produits frais (pourtant l'offre dans le Cantal est largement suffisante...)... Une sorte de fast food à la mode auvergnate.... Dommage. Seul point positif, la viande... elle est chère mais bonne... Franchement on peut trouver bien mieux dans le Cantal !

Etablissement prônant la cuisine auvergnate, et qui met en valeur les produits locaux, les spécialités cantaliennes y sont bien présentes !
Décoration des salles très sympa (sans oublier les toilettes !).
Plats de qualité, quoique parfois peu garnis ou un peu chers... Mais cela reste une bonne adresse.
A noter les boissons notamment bières locales, et cocktails de saison.
