This must-see stop on the Route de l'Est is well worth a few minutes' detour. The 152-meter-long suspension bridge spanning the Rivière de l'Est was the longest in the world when it was delivered in 1894. Classified as a historical monument in 2028, it has been undergoing major restoration work since 2021, in order to make it once again (and exclusively) accessible to pedestrians. The reopening of this suspension bridge, also known as the "Pont des Anglais", is scheduled for the end of 2023.

Très beau pont. Lors de ma dernière visite l accès au pont était désormais fermé mais celui ci reste joli.

A voir mais non incoutournable
Endroit très joli mais non incontournable. On ne peut le voir que de loin et à travers un "grillage".
Si vous passez devant, n'hésitez pas à y aller mais sinon ne faites pas de la route pour que le pont suspendu.

Si vous passez devant, n'hésitez pas à vous arrêter. Le site vaut le coup d’œil pour un arrêt photo. Joli pont suspendu mais on ne peut pas s'approcher, il faut le photographier de loin.

Saint Anne Bridge suspended from the East River Parking Lot and kiosk. It's a suspension bridge worn by huge cables that could cross the East River. It is closed by municipal order for vintage reasons and replaced by a road bridge in parallel. Two huge batteries on each side of the shore maintain the cables and the imposing structure. The environment is splendid but the main interest was to cross it on foot to have a real vision of its height. It's a pity that this beautiful monument is abandoned…
