The House of India is an ashram, the first one erected outside India. A place of worship, meditation and fraternity, it welcomes in residence the students of Amma, a contemporary spiritual figure. Visitors from all walks of life are invited to come and discover this sacred place. A large meditation room is available to everyone. There are musical instruments and some impressive religious sculptures, as well as a beautiful library filled with philosophical and esoteric works. A fire march takes place in February.

Nous avons été accueillis par un homme qui s'est présenté comme un universitaire ayant effectué dernièrement un Master en sciences de l'Education. Avant de commencer la visite, il nous a demandé nos attentes. Pendant 1h30, il a débité un monologue que nous avons eu peine à arrêter. Nous n'avons rien vu de ce lieu et on ne peut que déconseiller cette visite avec cet homme dont on ne sait ni le nom ni la fonction dans cet institution !

Visited in December 2011, we were super good welcomed in this place that exudes zénitude. On the other hand you must be equipped against mosquitoes because that is said zénitude say water... To do!
