These chairs made of filaos wood come from the forest of Etang-Salé. Their caning is made from rushes cut on the banks of the Etang du Gol. Rustic, solid and comfortable, they are part of the authentic Creole furniture. Some local craftsmen perpetuate the tradition, notably Bernard Lépinay and Pierre Lallemand.
