A calbanon is a Creole word designating a stone roof stone box that inhabited the slaves. It is more modern. This large box consists of a double bedroom, a family, a 10-seat dormitory with bunk beds. Residents share two common bathrooms, two equipped kitchens and a terrace with panoramic views of the circus and village. The centre is 5 minutes walk and the mare in Rushes is just a few steps away. Meals are available upon reservation.

La maison est typique, très très bien située et la gérante est juste très gentille. Je recommande fortement pour un séjour à Cilaos et notamment si vous voulez braver le piton dés neiges !

gîte à éviter : lits double superposés, pas la place de mettre 4 sacs à dos et d'entrer tous ensemble dans la chambre.

Gite très bien situé au centre ville de Cilaos. Gite certes rustique mais tout est très propre. Accueil au top avec une hôte adorable. Repas du soir et petit déjeuner très bon.
