Located in the commune of Morne-Rouge, and created in June 1990, it was inaugurated in May 1991, in the presence of Maurice and Katia Krafft, the famous volcanologist couple. The Maison des Volcans offers a different way of discovering the majestic and familiar Montagne Pelée, and more specifically its eruptions of 1929, as well as the other volcanoes of Martinique and, more broadly, the volcanoes of the Lesser Antilles. A collection of rocks and sands completes the visit, allowing visitors to discover the geological wealth of Martinique.

Je recommande vivement. Un exercice de mémoire pour saint Pierre à faire absolument.
Film de 50 minutes sur l'éruption de 1902 et les volcans des Caraïbes en général. Puis exposition avec pleins de panneaux explicatifs.
Personnel très sympa.
Séance film toutes les entre 8h30 et 15h30.
