LE GRILL RIVERAIN
Read moreIn an idyllic setting, facing the coast of Dominica and the raging sea, this small restaurant at the end of the world invites you to relax and escape. Hang around and enjoy the waves and the calm. Note that it offers good local home cooking, simple but fresh, served with a smile. The menu is presented with humor. The fish comes from the local fisherman. The dishes are generous: chicken colombo, fried snapper, mouth-watering Creole plate, sweet potato flan. We especially like the blood sausage and the accras.
CHEZ POPOLE
Read moreThe kind of snack bar we love! In the lost paradise that is Grand-Rivière (and where the restaurant scene remains rather limited), this snack bar welcomes you as if you were at home, with a ti-punch or a Lorraine, and serves simple but well-executed cuisine using fresh, seasonal produce, and above all excellent value for money. On the menu: sandwiches, paninis, croque-monsieur, grilled meats to take away or eat in, pizzas, burgers... The atmosphere in the dining room or on the pretty outdoor terrace is as friendly as you could wish, and always lively.
SUNDAY
Read moreThis unassuming little snack bar is full of surprises. Admittedly, the decor is a little spartan, but the food is hearty, made with fresh local ingredients. Here, everything is homemade: bokit (not too fatty and well garnished), crêpes, sweet potato fries, pasta, banana gratin, vegetable accras (a must-try!) or cod, fish caught by local fishermen, fried chicken. Let yourself be tempted by one of their delicious cocktails or mocktails, such as the plum mojito. Excellent value for money and a friendly welcome!
