A sheltered beach at the tip of the island, ideal for admiring the underwater world without the need for diving equipment.

On the western side of Pain de Sucre is a superb sheltered beach at the tip of the island. It's the ideal place to admire the underwater world without the need for diving equipment. The access road, overlooking the bay, is particularly attractive. Beware of the mancenillia trees (don't shelter under them in case of rain), as their sap can cause burns. The English planted these trees to protect themselves from French invasion. We advise you not to ride your scooter down the slope to the beach.

Très belle la plage, sans trop de monde, car assez éloignée du village. Sauvage et authentique, cette plage vaut la petite marche. Attention cependant au mancenillier en bord de plage ( arbres à la sève toxique!)

a good alternative to enjoy the beach on the islands of the Saintes, without too many people, because enough distance from the village. Rather wild and therefore more authentic; a little sporty scooter approach, but it's worth moving.
