A guided tour of the mill takes you on a journey of discovery through the oil-making process, accompanied by the master oil-maker
Discover traditional roasted rapeseed oil production techniques. In the heart of a hamlet of farms and mills, the oldest traces of which date back to the 13th century, enthusiasts are bringing back to life the production of toasted rapeseed, walnut and hazelnut oil as it was in the 19th century. The guided tour takes you on a journey of discovery through the oil-making process in the company of the master oil-maker. Watch logs being sawn in the sawmill. Both the mill and the sawmill are powered solely by water, which drives the turbine and the spinning wheel, and also generates the hamlet's electricity. Sounds, smells and tastes are all part of this plunge into the heart of the region's ancestral traditions and know-how. The tour ends with a tasting session, and you'll find oil production and other artisanal products for sale in the boutique.
