Suburban tourism? Formerly a workers' town around the mine and the ribbon, Roche-la-Molière now stands out as an open-air museum. Here, the walls are colourful and street art is on display in the town centre and in the neighbourhoods. More than 25 murals now adorn La Roche. Since 2015, at the beginning of May, the SAFIR, Street Art Festival In Roche La Molière, has been held in this suburb of Saint-Etienne, where graffiti artists have been taking part.
