An ecopole with a rich flora and fauna, featuring a wildlife observation center, events and exhibition space.

Created in 1987, the Écopôle du Forez is a 750-hectare ecozone managed by FNE Loire, dedicated to preserving biodiversity. It is home to over 250 migratory species and 2,000 animal and plant species, with weekly species monitoring. The Écopôle employs around ten people and carries out studies on local species, as well as raising awareness in the département. The Écopôle offers nature outings, guided walks, workshops, play areas and a seminar area for companies.

Opening time and information on ECOPÔLE DU FOREZ

High Season from Saturday April 13 to Sunday November 3, 2024: every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm. During school vacations (Zone A), open Wednesday to Sunday, 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm. July to August: Saturdays, 9am to 5pm. Low season: open every Sunday from 1:30pm to 5pm. During school vacations (Zone A), open every day from 1:30pm to 5:00pm. Adults (over 16): €5. Annual pass for 10 adult admissions: €50. Adults (+ 16 years): €7.50. Reduced rate : 3,50€ - 4,50€.

Je suis venu dans le cadre du travail pour faire découvrir les oiseaux de la région et la nature alentour à des jeunes adolescents. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et guidé par de nombreuses informations tout au long de la visite. Le lieu c'est très bien intégré à son environnement. Je le conseille vivement à tout ceux qui veulent prendre un bol d'air frais!!!
