1- The Lake Festival, Annecy

It is necessary to go back to 1860 and the reception of the emperor Napoleon III and the empress Eugénie to see the first Lake Festival of Annecy being celebrated in honor of the attachment of the duchy of Savoy to France. 2- July 14th in Carcassonne

On August 14, 1898, Carcassonne organized great celebrations in honor of the arrival of the "Cadets of Gascony". Since then, the city celebrates every year on July 14th the burning of its legendary city. An extraordinary and unforgettable sound and light show during which a gigantic firework illuminates the sky, the stones and other details of its exceptional medieval citadel. Lasting 30 minutes, it reveals a multitude of shapes and colors. The launchers use the most fashionable pyrotechnic devices, while honouring the City's environmental policy, which aims to create a responsible fireworks display.

To enjoy this breathtaking spectacle, residents and visitors alike go to the banks of the Aude or the bridges that span it, to get the best possible view of the medieval city. Others prefer to settle in the heart of the surrounding vineyards to find a little more peace and quiet. In any case, you have to arrive early!

3- The Festival of Pyrotechnic Art of Cannes

Isn't the Mediterranean one of the most beautiful places to launch a firework display? On the French Riviera, the bay of Cannes hosts its unmissable Festival of Pyrotechnic Art every summer. Six evenings during which the public is amazed by the greatest international fireworkers. These masters of lights and colors do not lack imagination to create new frescoes in the sky of the town of the Alpes-Maritimes, just above the Big Blue.

The public is not the only one to enjoy the show, since a jury is also present to note the performances. In addition to unveiling some of the most beautiful fireworks in France, the Festival of Pyrotechnic Art is also a competition where participants compete for the silver vestal, a prestigious prize that allows access to the gold vestal.
