Remains of an ancient wall at Ottrott, one of Europe's most important megalithic monuments.
This wall, with its surprising construction method - in which specialists have failed to recognize either Gallic or Roman techniques - is made up of huge, poorly squared blocks joined by dovetail tenons, with no trace of mortar. It's one of Europe's most important megalithic monuments! Even today, no scientist has been able to date its exact origin or define its original function. For some, its foundation dates back to the 2nd century BC; for others, it is much earlier or more recent.
