In the countryside, the Auberge la Ferme de Pontgibaud is a very pleasant place to spend meals with the family. The imposing and superb renovated farmhouse overlooking the lake and the first foothills of the Bauges enjoys a relaxing setting where nature lends itself to outdoor games. In a nicely decorated dining room or on the covered terrace with a panoramic view of the Bauges, the lake and the Aravis, you can enjoy small local dishes inspired by alpine flavours. The menus change over the days and seasons: Savoy terrine with blueberries and stewed red onions and fig chutney, frog legs with garlic butter and parsley, roasted duck fillet with mountain honey, crozets gratin with smoked white ham and trumpets from the Moors, and good homemade desserts. Unless you prefer to bite into a delicious Savoyard sandwich on your way back from a hike while enjoying the panoramic view from the terrace. A pleasant stopover on the way back from the hike, and if you feel too tired you can decide to stay in one of the guest rooms of the gîte!
